On March 3rd, the blue-and-yellow team secured first place in their group for the main round of qualification for the 2024 World Championships and a direct advance to the elite round. On the same day, our team won an away match against Poland. On March 8th, the blue-and-yellow team concluded the main round with an away draw against the Netherlands.

After a long break, Oleksandr Kosenko's wards participated in the elite round of qualification this fall. Due to the impossibility of holding matches in Ukraine, our team hosted opponents in the Hungarian city of Berettyóújfalu. However, this did not prevent the blue-and-yellow team from securing first place in their group with Poland, Serbia, and Belgium. The Ukrainians won four matches, including a decisive clash against the Poles. By the way, Ukraine's national team became the most goal-scoring team of the elite round, scoring 32 goals.

So our boys have secured a direct spot in the 2024 World Championships, joining Kazakhstan, France, Spain, and Portugal in Europe. Two additional spots will be contested by participants in the elite round playoff. The final tournament will take place from September 14 to October 6, 2024, in Uzbekistan.

We add that in 2023, ten players scored for Ukraine's national futsal team, with the top scorers being Daniil Abakshin and Igor Korsun, each scoring eight goals.
