With just two rounds remaining before the end of the first stage of the competition, almost all participants in the "championship" group have been determined, who will compete for promotion to a higher league in the spring. Although the main contenders for direct promotion to the Ukrainian Premier League are «Karpaty» and «Ingulets».

In the 16th round, they barely noticed their opponents. Lvivians had to put in more effort for victory, but even then their opponent was stronger — «Agrobusiness» (Group A). The green-and-whites secured a comfortable lead before halftime with goals from Igor Nevets and Vladyslav Babogla. In the second half, captain of the home team Ambrosiy Chachu sealed the deal with a 3:0 victory.

And «Ingulets» (Group B) already won after the first half in today's match against «Kremen» — 3:0. The final score was 5:1 in favor of the Petrykivka team. Oleksandr Kozak and Yaroslav Kvassov each scored a brace.

It should be noted that the pursuers of the favorites — «Epicon», «Niva» (Buzova), «Victoria», «Left Bank», and «Poltava» — are not lagging behind.

As for the outsiders, «Metalist», «Khust», «Chernihiv», and «Dinaz» will have to put in a lot of effort to avoid direct relegation to the second league.
