Semi-defender of the Ukraine national team Georgiy Sudakov spoke about the start of the team's preparation for the Euro 2024 qualification matches against North Macedonia and Malta.

"We arrived in Prague in a good mood — I mean Shakhtar players. As we recently showed an excellent game in the UEFA Champions League. Going down 0-2, we managed to win. A similar situation was also in the match with North Macedonia. We were losing but eventually won — 3:2. Now we will prepare for the upcoming matches. 

After such comebacks, you understand that anything is possible in football. You need to work and believe in your strength, then everything will be fine. After the match with 'Antwerp', we immediately headed to Prague. I have been here for three days, so there was time to rest, I am fully recovered. Today was the first training — boys from 'Dynamo' just ran a bit, while Shakhtar representatives did technical exercises and played square ball. 

North Macedonia is not an easy opponent, and we have already seen that. Recently, Macedonians drew with Italy, so this is a very strong team. But we hope there will be more of our supporters in Prague and accordingly, more support. We will feel it, and playing will be easier than in the first match away from home. We need to seriously prepare for the game right from the start, so that it doesn't turn out like in the previous encounter», — said Georgiy Sudakov. 

We remind you that the Euro 2024 qualifier match between the national teams of Ukraine and North Macedonia will take place on October 14 in Prague (kick-off at 16.00 Kyiv time). The match with Malta, however, will be held on October 17 at the National Stadium in Ta' Qali (kick-off at 21:45 Kyiv time).
