The teams led by Myron Markevych were always distinguished above all by a reliable defense. And when the experienced professional returned to the helm of the green-and-white team after a long break, he immediately demanded strength in protection.

And so, in the 7th round in Volochysk, Lvivians preserved their possessions untouched. At the end of the first half, two penalty kicks were awarded to the hosts' goalkeepers: the first was converted by Pavlo Polegenenko, while in the episode with the second, goalkeeper of "Agrobusiness" Andriy Popovich won the duel against Brazilian Igor Néves.

After halftime, the home team had more possession but did not reach scoring opportunities. The head coach of Podolyany Oleksandr Chizhevsky explained this by saying that his team lacks a pure striker, and thus problems with realization arose.

"Karpaty" secured their third consecutive victory, this time with a score of 1-0, and strengthened their leading position in Group A, as their main rival, Buzhanska "Niva," unexpectedly lost points today against "Khust" (2:2).

Also on the road, in Kremenchuk, the leader of Group B — "Ingulets"— celebrated a victory. Before the match with "Kremen," striker Artem Sitalo returned to action after being disqualified and opened the scoring. The final word was from guest defender Mykhailo Sherstnev, who scored accurately from distance — 2:0. By the way, he once played for "Kremen" himself.
