The Ukrainian national team has moved into the final stage of preparation for their Euro 2024 qualifier match against England, which will take place on September 9 in Wrocław, Poland.

The coaching staff is wrapping up work that began at a Polish training camp last weekend. Today, the Ukrainians trained on the local stadium pitch in Tchebnice, where the team arrived in full strength.

The evening session started with game exercises to warm up the muscles, proposed by fitness trainer Vitaliy Kuliba. After that, the team worked on tactical tasks to practice the playing model chosen by head coach Serhiy Rebrov. Special attention was also given to specific elements of play.

Today, children from the "Unity" football academy in Zelena Gora visited the national team. This football school was founded half a year ago after the full-scale invasion of the aggressor on Ukrainian territory. Currently, about 200 children aged 3 to 14 years old are enrolled at the academy, with 90% being Ukrainians and 65% - refugee children.

The boys and girls watched the national team training, after which players and head coach approached them to take photos and leave autographs. The children were overjoyed. Traditionally, the most attention was paid to Oleksandr Zinchenko and Mykhailo Mudryk; all kids wanted an autograph from the head coach, who received a jersey from the academy as a souvenir.

With positive spirits, the players returned to their hotel where many Ukrainian football fans were waiting for them outside with the same desire - photos and autographs. After that, the blue-and-yellow team had to work hard with their hands, signing balls and jerseys.

Tomorrow is a pre-match day for the national team. At 17:30 local time, head coach Serhiy Rebrov and one of our players will meet with media representatives in the conference hall of the city stadium in Wrocław, while at 18:00 an official training session will take place on the "Taras Garewicz Arena," with the first 15 minutes open to the press.
