After the draw for the third preliminary stage of the Vbet Cup of Ukraine season 2023/2024, which took place today at the House of Football, one of the honored guests at the event, commander of the 241st OB Territorial Defense Forces junior sergeant Artem Moroz received a ball with an autograph and souvenirs from the UAF from the best bomber in the history of the Cup of Ukraine Andriy Vorobyov.

On September 14, 2022, as a result of artillery shelling near the village of Pravdinka, Kherson region, Artem Moroz sustained multiple shrapnel injuries that led to the amputation of his lower limbs.

After prolonged treatment and amputation, despite insufficient wound healing and against doctors' orders, Artem participated in the prestigious international Boston Marathon in the USA.

He ran the entire distance on prosthetics, pushing a wheelchair in front of him where his assistant sat. With this act, Artem demonstrated an example of steel will and unbreakable spirit of a Territorial Defense Forces soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"My main motivation is my family," noted Artem. "I have wonderful children. While I was in hospitals, I felt tremendous support from my family that is hard to express in words. They charged me up. By the way, my six-year-old son has just started playing football. It's for my family that I went to defend Ukraine. Our children are everything."
