The head coach of the national team of Ukraine, Serhiy Rebrov, and the first vice-president of the Ukrainian Football Association (UFA), Vadym Kostyuchenko, visited wounded soldiers at one of Kyiv's medical facilities.

The coach of the national team and one of the UFA leaders paid a traditional visit to a hospital in the capital where they handed over medical equipment and supported fighters who were injured while fighting for the freedom and independence of our country. In addition, Serhiy Rebrov gifted signed footballs and national team gear to all servicemen undergoing treatment at the department.

Currently, soldiers with gunshot and mine blast injuries of various localizations are being treated in our department. Our department treats patients whose recovery process is complicated by infections.

We are very grateful for such visits. It's nice to work with a strong UFA team. Psychological support is very important for the soldiers. From our medical perspective, help is provided comprehensively, and I sincerely hope that everything will be well with them,” — emphasized the department head Serhiy Sapah.

The fighters, of course, know Serhiy Rebrov well; they are fascinated by his excellent play and are interested in current national team affairs.

“It's very important for all of us to be with our soldiers. I communicate a lot with them, and they often mention my past matches. But I always say that right now, it is precisely they who are the heroes, and it's an honor for me to visit them.

I always ask the fighters where and how they were injured, how their recovery is going. This really matters to me because every young man who is here now is a real hero. And we all have to do everything for Ukraine, for victory,” — said Serhiy Rebrov.

It should be noted that visits to this Kyiv hospital and other medical facilities with the aim of supporting injured Ukrainian servicemen have become regular events for UFA representatives. Additionally, the UFA organizes regular football training sessions and matches on an artificial pitch at the NTZ named after V. Bannikov, which are attended by all recovering defenders who wish to participate.
