The UEFA Youth League season-2023/2024 draw will take place from September 19, 2023, when the group stage begins, until the final four, which will be held in Nyon, Switzerland, on April 19–22, 2024.

In the 10th edition of the UEFA Youth League, 64 teams will participate. In autumn, the contenders will be divided into two paths: The Champions Path and the National Champions Path. The two paths converge into one at the playoff stage, specifically — on February 6–7, 2024.

The complete list of participants will be confirmed on August 30, when the Champions League playoff round matches end.

Format

The Champions Path will be taken by 32 youth teams whose clubs advance to the group stage of the Champions League (Donetsk «Shakhtar» has already secured this right, Dnipro-1 from Dnipropetrovsk has a chance at it). The National Champions Path will be taken by the winners of national youth championships from 32 of the best associations in UEFA rankings that do not qualify for the Champions Path (Lviv «Ruh» will compete in this category).

If an adult team of a club that becomes the champion at the youth level qualifies for the Champions League group stage through qualification, the place vacated by it will go to champions from the next-ranked associations.

The composition of groups in the Champions Path repeats the composition of groups in the actual Champions League. First places will advance directly to the round of 16, second places — will enter the knockout stage.

Participants in the National Champions Path will play two rounds of knockout matches. Eight winners of the second round will advance to the knockout stage.

At the playoff stage, teams will play one-off elimination matches. In the knockout stage matches, eight winners of the National Champions Path will host eight clubs that finished second in groups of the Champions Path.

Eight winners of the knockout stage matches will advance to the round of 16, where they will already be waiting for eight group winners from the Champions Path. The semi-finals and final will take place in one city.
