Coach Rostyslav Rotan's wards conducted a planned training session in Romania, preparing for the crucial showdown. Midfielder of the blue-and-yellow team Dmytro Kryskiv shared his thoughts on the upcoming match.
"We really had an excellent group stage, so I believe in our strength. For our team, this is not a surprise as it's what we've been working towards."
In the quarter-final, we will face France. This is a very strong team with quality players. We know their lineup well, so we'll prepare and look for weaknesses in the French side. Indeed, there is a powerful group assembled with individually strong performers.
Recently, during the European championship qualifying cycle, we met France. Then there was a loss and a draw, so I hope victory lies ahead," — said Dmytro Kryskiv.
Recall that the Euro 2023 (U-21) quarter-final match between France and Ukraine will take place on Sunday, July 2nd, at the "Cluj Arena" in Cluj-Napoca city (kick-off at 22.00 Kyiv time).
