In the final match of the UEFA Youth League Dutch AZ U-19 defeated Croatian "Hajduk" U-19. Both teams reached the decisive stage of the tournament for the first time.
Today, in the final match of the UEFA Youth League in Geneva, AZ and "Hajduk" met. The day before, in the semifinals, the Dutch team advanced on penalties against Portuguese "Sporting" (regular time — 2:2), while the Croats eliminated Italian "Milan" (3:1).
In the final, AZ scored five goals against Hajduk and became the first-ever winner of the UEFA Youth League in their history.

We remind you that this season in the UEFA Youth League, two Ukrainian clubs — "Shakhtar" and "Ruh" — also participated. The miners lost to Hajduk in a qualifying match and conceded, while Lvivians were eliminated by Italian "Milan" in the round of 16 in the quarterfinals.
