Today, the national women's team of Ukraine began their first friendly matches of the year in the Polish town of Suwałki, and on April 9 they will travel to Estonia for a preparatory match.

The match between Estonia and Ukraine will take place at the support of the Estonian Football Association on April 11 in Tallinn at the local stadium "Sportland Arena" (kick-off at 7 PM) and will be the first game for the blue-and-yellow team as part of their preparation for official League of Nations games.

We remind you that the list of players called up by Luis Cortes includes 22 footballers, among whom are two debutantes — Daria Kelyushyk and Polina Yanchuk.

"It's been a long time since I've seen my teammates; we were even starting to miss the national team," admits midfielder of Vorzel Anna Petrik. "Emotions in the national team are always the best. I'm glad that there is such a tournament as the League of Nations for women's football. We're all looking forward to its start. These will be additional official games where we can showcase ourselves, gain experience and improve our country's ranking."

"This is my first call-up to the national team," says attacker of Kryvbas Polina Yanchuk. "I'm very happy to join the girls and want to help them both in the sparring match against Estonia and in League of Nations matches. I hope I'll be able to compete with more experienced players."

By the way, the confrontation between Estonia and Ukraine will be the third in history of these teams. In 2012 they met during European Championship qualification — both times Ukrainians won (5-0 and 4-1).

We remind you that the first-ever women's League of Nations draw will take place on May 2. The composition of leagues and rankings before the draw will be determined by UEFA's current ranking of national women's teams. Currently, Ukraine is ranked 22nd in the registry, which predicts their placement in League C.

In 2023, for participants of the League of Nations six game windows are planned: September 20-22 and 23-26, October 25-27 and 28-31, November 29 - December 1 and December 2-5.
