Alexander Kosenko's wards have completed their main round World Cup 2024 qualification matches with an away game against the Netherlands.

On March 3, blue-and-yellow secured first place in Group 11 of the main round World Cup 2024 qualifier and a premature advancement to the elite round. This was thanks to a draw — 3:3 in Kosovo vs. Netherlands.

The final match of this stage, our team played away against the Dutch in Almere city. In preparation for the official meeting, Ukraine's national team played a guest friendly match against Poland's team and won — 4:1.

The Ukrainians took the lead on the tenth minute when Shourma scored from the flank. However, just before halftime, the Dutch equalized after a penalty kick.

In the second half, Ukraine tried to secure victory but the opposing goalkeeper performed exceptionally well. In the end, Kosenko's wards concluded their group stage matches with a draw — 1:1. Now our national team awaits the elite round draw, which will take place on July 5.
