A meeting took place at the Football House between the president of the UAF, UEFA Executive Committee member Andriy Pavelka and representatives of sports media, during which many current issues were discussed.

In particular, journalists showed interest in the legitimacy of a letter published on social networks addressed to the UAF from FIFA and UEFA, emphasizing that membership of national football associations in international bodies is guaranteed exclusively by strict adherence to the statutes of FIFA and UEFA, respectively - independence of activity of national football structures. And any violation of this rule "may lead to suspension of UAF's membership in FIFA and UEFA according to Art. 16 of the FIFA Statutes and Art. 9 of the UEFA Statutes."

Regarding the situation in the Ukrainian Association of Football

Dear First Vice-Presidents!

We refer to your letter dated December 8, 2022 and subsequent events that have allegedly occurred since then regarding the Ukrainian Association of Football (UAF).

We take serious note with concern that members of the UAF Executive Committee are reportedly being pressured to sign demands for an extraordinary meeting of the UAF Executive Committee.

In this context, we remind you of your obligations according to Art. 14, para. 1 lit. i) and Art. 19 of the FIFA Statutes and Art. 7bis, para. 2 of the UEFA Statutes to manage their affairs independently and without undue influence from third parties. Any violation of this obligation may lead to suspension of UAF's membership in FIFA and UEFA according to Art. 16 of the FIFA Statutes and Art. 9 of the UEFA Statutes.

We sincerely hope that the situation will be resolved peacefully, and we kindly ask you to inform us about any events related to this matter so that we can assess the necessity of any potential further steps. In the meantime, we remain at your disposal.
