Today, on December 8, the draw for the elite round of qualification for the UEFA Euro-2023 among under-17 boys took place, in which Ukraine's national team (players born in 2006 or later) participated.

Thirty-two teams were divided into eight groups, whose matches will take place in March. At stake are 15 spots for the final stage, with games taking place from May 17 to June 2, 2023, in Hungary. Eight group winners of the elite round and seven second-placed teams with the best results will advance to the finals. The host country also joins them.

As a reminder, in the qualifying round for Euro-2023 (U-17), Ukraine's youth team under Yuriy Moroz's leadership secured first place in their group, outperforming teams from Azerbaijan (5:2), Liechtenstein (7:0), and Bosnia and Herzegovina (1:1).

According to the draw results for the elite round, blue-and-yellow will be in Group 6, where they will play against Italy, Cyprus, and Ireland.
