The winners of the upper bracket in the selection tournament for Ukraine's national e-football team in FIFA 23 were determined on Thursday, December 1st.

The competition is held in a "2vs2" format on the PlayStation 5 platform using the FIFA 23 simulator (team compositions — in Ultimate Team mode).

Sixteen teams compete within the upper and lower brackets under a Double Elimination system (to two losses) in a BO3 format (Best Of 3).

On the third day of play, Oleksandr Gryshay/Andriy Shakalov won both final matches of the upper bracket, which consisted of BO2 games, against Denis Yevtushyk/Yaroslav Hrymak — 7:4 (2:2, 5:2) and 5:2 (3:2, 2:0), securing their place in the national team.

In the fourth round of the lower bracket, Lubomir Berez/Lev Lutyczky lost to Maxim Bobra/Daniil Shelayev (1:2, 3:1, 2:3), while Yevgen Mostovik/Oleksiy Mercer won against Oleksandr Petukhov/Ruslan Rudomytov (0:1, 1:0, 7:1). The winners of the fourth round will face each other in the semifinals, and the best duo from these two teams will compete for a spot in the national team with Denis Yevtushyk/Yaroslav Hrymak.

We note that the selection tournament, which was scheduled to take place on November 28-30, has been postponed due to power outages affecting participants and making it impossible to play matches according to the original schedule.
