Social project "Open Football Lessons", implemented by the Ukrainian Association of Football and the international organization UEFA Foundation, visited Kaluska Community.

A wonderful football event for communication and establishing friendly connections between children of internally displaced persons and local children took place on November 1 at the Kaluska Lyceum No. 6 stadium.

The project engages not only future players but also future coaches, volunteers, fans, and anyone who wants to be part of the football process thanks to such festivals. Participants and schools receive a large amount of sports equipment. This includes footballs, jerseys, shin guards, cones, flags, pumps, nets, jump ropes, ropes, coach kits, and other important items for healthy fun.

The project involved 144 children from grades 5 to 7 of twelve lyceums in the community. In addition to local children, "Open Football Lessons" were attended by children of displaced persons and students of inclusive classes.

The festival began with a dynamic warm-up. Then, instructors conducted various entertaining football games, competitions, and contests for the children based on the principle of "Sport for All." The football field was divided into 12 sectors, each led by a volunteer coach who shared secrets of football, introduced exercises to improve accuracy, speed, and endurance with the children. Children, organized in teams, moved from sector to sector where they were offered different tasks or invited to play.

The good mood of the football festival was enhanced by musical accompaniment. Children happily participated in contests, games, and exercises led by their mentors.

Participants of the football festival received unforgettable impressions, wonderful emotions and experience. And also - joy from playing. Because the main thing is participation, not victory! Only thanks to such projects do we teach our children to enjoy their involvement, showing them how to have fun together with friends in a safe environment.

At the end, each child received a participant certificate and an exclusive jersey from UAF, while teams were given footballs for training and cakes.
