On Wednesday, November 16, based on the results of the last eight rounds (rounds 6 to 13) of the Ukrainian Vbet League, an educational seminar for Premier League referees was held via online conference.

Luciano Luci, head of the Referees Committee of the UAF, opening the seminar, emphasized the need for more responsible and professional approach to match preparation from top-category referees. Moreover, the chief of Ukrainian referees highlighted the importance of maintaining high concentration levels from the moment they step onto the field until after the final whistle when they enter the changing room.

The main expert on refereeing for the UAF, Nicola Rizzoli, in his introductory remarks noted: "Do simple and obvious things that everyone can understand, not just you."

During the two-hour educational seminar, a series of clips were analyzed focusing particularly on such current topics relevant to our championship (over the last eight rounds) as: handball, denying an opponent a clear goal-scoring opportunity, simulation and fouls.

It should be noted that practical advice was given on the application of VAR for each type of case. Also, based on specific incidents that occurred during the last rounds of the championship, some aspects of a referee's work on the field with this system were discussed.

Overall, fruitful educational work was carried out aimed at successfully completing the final rounds of the first half of the championship.
