The latest "Open Football Lessons," which take place within the framework of the Ukrainian Football Association project, with support from UEFA's Children's Fund and the Cross-Cultural Projects Association (Denmark), in direct participation by the Zakarpattya Football Association, have arrived at Irshava Central Stadium.

Almost 120 participants, who study at educational institutions of general secondary education I-III and I-II levels of the local community, took part in a rich program.

The event began traditionally with the performance of Ukraine's State Anthem and a moment of silence for our defenders who gave their lives in the war for the independence of the state. The participants were greeted by the city mayor Viktor Simkanets, deputy of the city council, first deputy head of ZAF Stanislav Suchan, and other guests. Direct participants engaged in team and individual exercises in eight sectors. A large group of professionals, including physical education teachers and coaches from DYSHS, helped with this. The main organizers were the chairman of the city council Ivan Matiko, head of the education, health care, culture, youth, and sports department of the city council, deputy of the city council Elizaveta Yatskanych, vice-chairman of the Khust Football Association Andriy Vezhdel, president of FC "Buzhora" Oleksiy Markovich, director of Irshava DYSHS Vita Penzenik, inspector of MBC on issues of physical culture and sports Boris Lomaga.

The highlight of the competition was the awarding of teams. In particular, they were presented with sports equipment. As Andriy Vezhdel noted in a comment for our website, it is very important to hold such an event because children improve their skills in their favorite game, demonstrate their love for sports and a healthy lifestyle overall, and prepare themselves not only physically but also spiritually. Andriy Andriyovych also thanked all the organizers, especially the Ukrainian Football Association and the Zakarpattya Football Association, without which it would have been impossible to arrange such an event for children.
