After four previous group matches, the white-and-blue team found themselves in a precarious situation. To preserve their chances of advancing to the Conference League, Dynamo had to win in Larnaca.

At the 4th minute, the visitors created a goal-scoring opportunity, but after Timchik's cross and Boyalyskyi's shot, Cypriot goalkeeper Pirić saved. Overall, however, the first half was roughly even with few chances. At the 14th minute, from Boyalyskyi's pass, Vanat put the ball in the net, but the referee canceled the goal for offside.

Midway through the first half, AEK took the lead — Altman scored with a scissors kick after Faраж's cross from the right. However, just before halftime, Dynamo managed to equalize when Vycharenko-Boyalyskyi-Vanat combined for a goal. Vladislav Vanat scored his first goal in European competitions.

At the start of the second half, Timchik broke into the penalty area but was denied by the goalkeeper. Soon after, the hosts regained the lead — Englezou's cross was headed into the corner by Lopes.

On the 72nd minute, AEK scored again — Faраж started a counterattack and crossed, Timchik failed to clear it, and Altman completed his brace. Dynamo added late in the match. First, Tsygankov narrowly missed from the penalty spot, then Harmash equalized with a header off Timchik's cross.

In stoppage time, Harmash scored another goal after a corner kick to make it 3-3. The Kyivans earned their first point in the group stage but cannot climb higher than last place.
