Due to the situation in the region and city of Kherson, "Prodexim" unfortunately does not have the opportunity to participate in the UEFA Champions League with futsal. In this exceptional situation, for the benefit of the competition, it was decided based on Article 62.01 of the tournament regulations to replace "Prodexim" with the vice-champion of Ukraine's Extra League — "Hurricane."
The representative of Ukraine has entered Group 4 of the main round and will face Portuguese "Benfica," Hungarian "Haladás," and Romanian "United Galați." The mini-tournament in the Romanian city of Galați started today, October 26.
In the opening match of the quartet, Maxim Pavlenko's team faced hosts "United Galați." The Romanians managed to put up a fight only for the first 10 minutes; then they conceded four goals before halftime and also failed to convert a double penalty. In the second half, the Ivano-Frankivsk team scored once more, thus starting the mini-tournament with a convincing victory — 5:0.
The next match of the main round for "Hurricane" will be tomorrow against Portuguese "Benfica."
