After the 8th round in the second league, it is becoming clearer which teams are competing for top positions. Although it is already evident that the pursuers will find it difficult to compete with the obvious leader — Buzhynskiy 'Niva', which significantly outpaces all others in player selection and preparation level.

Yesterday, Serhiy Karpenko's team easily defeated 'Rubicon' — 5:0. The Buzhynskiy team continues to play without losses, scoring 19 goals against opponents and only conceding twice.

The most intense rivalry was in Novohrad-Volynskyi, where newcomers and neighbors on the league table — 'Zvyahel' and 'Khust' — settled their relations. At the end of the first half, Denis Cherwinsky's long-range shot put the home team ahead. The visitors made maximum efforts to restore parity, but succeeded only in the 90th minute: Petro Lutsiv successfully played a through ball and saved the Zakarpattya side from defeat — 1:1.

A poor start did not knock out footballers of 'Real Farm' and 'Niva' (Vinnytsia) off their stride. In recent rounds, they have shown consistency and goal-scoring ability and are gradually overcoming the lag.
