President of the Ukrainian Football Association and UEFA Executive Committee member Andriy Pavelko, along with head coach of Ukraine's youth national team Ruslan Rotan, made a working trip to Dnipro.

During the visit, a meeting took place at the humanitarian hub of the UFA based in the Olympic House, which was also attended by First Vice President of the UFA and head of the hub Alan Plyev, veteran footballer from Dnipro Oleg Tarasov, Olympic champions Oleksiy Cherdyntsev and Yevhen Yarovenko, executive director of the regional football association Yaroslav Derevyanko, and advisor to the president of the UFA Dmitry Batura.

Participants in the meeting summarized the work of the local humanitarian hub, which has been providing assistance to families displaced from conflict zones, medical personnel caring for wounded servicemen, football veterans, and soldiers defending Ukraine's independence for over six months.

Immediately after the meeting, its participants visited one of the shelters for forcibly displaced persons located in Surs'ko-Litovske village. Currently, about 500 people are staying there, including 130 children. Representatives of the UFA brought them food supplies, warm clothing, medical supplies, and gifts for children, including brand new balls that delighted the kids.

"Children's laughter, joy, and communication immediately lift spirits. This is the best reward for being able to support these children who learned about war and sorrow at such a young age. But shared experiences and mutual support make us even stronger," — noted Andriy Pavelko during his conversation with the children.

On the same day, President Pavelko and head coach Ruslan Rotan visited Zaporizhzhia. The regional football association under Viktor Mizeyak's leadership organized a friendly match in cooperation with military personnel to mark Ukraine's Territorial Defense Day celebrated on the first Sunday of October. Teams of veterans from FC "Metallurg" and soldiers from the 110th Separate Brigade of Territorial Forces participated in the game. The leaders of the UFA and regional association greeted participants of the match and presented them with awards and gifts.
