U-17: Ukraine's youth team lost to "Oleksandria" in a friendly match
The Ukrainian U-17 national team played their first friendly match of the season today at the NTB "Dynamo" in Vitiville.

The match against a representative of the UPL, "Oleksandria," took place within the first training camp for the blue-and-yellow team, which began on September 17 and will continue until September 26. It is dedicated to preparing for matches in the qualification round for Euro-2023 (U-17).

The head coach of the Ukraine U-17 team, Yuriy Moroz, called up 28 players for the camp. Therefore, today's match was used to review almost all his wards. They faced a senior team from "Oleksandria," which although started with a semi-starter lineup, gradually brought on their leaders during the game. It should be noted that the match began with a 20-minute delay due to an air raid warning.

The age difference was immediately noticeable, and as early as the 25th minute, Oleksandria led with a score of 3-0. Yurii Kopina, Oleksandr Martyniuk, and Vikentiy Voloshin scored for them. On the 41st minute, the U-17 team had an opportunity to narrow the gap by one goal, but their shot was saved by Oleksandria's goalkeeper. Two minutes later, a player from the blue-and-yellow team once again threatened the opponent's goal, but the ball rolled past the post.

After halftime, Yuriy Moroz completely changed his lineup. Kirilo Osypenko had a good chance to score in the early stages of the second half but missed the target with his shot. Instead, on the 52nd minute, Yurii Kopina extended the lead to 4-0. On the 60th minute, Danilo Kaidalov attempted a long-range shot from about 25 meters out, and once again fortune favored Oleksandria.
Thus, the score was 0-4 — a defeat for Ukraine U-17.

The youth team of Ukraine has been drawn into group 2, where they will face teams from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Azerbaijan, and Liechtenstein. The mini-tournament will take place from October 24 to 30, 2022, in Bosnia and Herzegovina at the "Mladić" stadium in Kakanj and at a training center of the local football federation in Zenica.
