Qualifying Tournament for the 2023 World Cup among Women's Teams. European Zone

Group Stage

Europe has eleven direct spots to the 2023 World Cup, and one team will participate in the intercontinental play-off.

The nine group winners will qualify directly for the World Cup. The second-placed teams from each group will proceed to the next stage.

Play-offs

Nine teams that finish in second place in their groups will participate in a two-stage play-off tournament.

The top three among the second-placed teams will have the opportunity to compete directly at the second stage of the play-offs. Six remaining participants will fight for three spots in one-legged matches at the first round. Three winners from the first round and three teams that qualified directly to the second stage will determine the trio of UEFA Women's Play-off winners.

The two winners of the second stage of the UEFA play-offs with the highest ranking (criteria applied to group stage results plus second-round play-off) will receive two automatic spots at the 2023 World Cup, while the third winner will continue their journey in the intercontinental play-offs.
