On July 12 in Galychyna at the "Kolos" stadium within a partnership project of the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) and the All-Ukrainian Foundation "Child Rights Protection" called "Open Football Lessons," psychological support was provided to children of internally displaced persons and local children who have suffered from the war. The Ivano-Frankivsk region is second after Lviv in implementing this social project.

The mayor of Galych, Oleh Kantor, and the project coordinator from the Ukrainian Football Association, Yevheniy Stolitenko, addressed the audience with welcoming words. Also participating in the event were First Deputy Head of the Oblast Football Association Taras Klim, Deputy Head and Executive Director of the Oblast Football Association Vasyl Sykorra, and Project Coordinator in Galych Bohdan Maksymchak.

After the ceremonial part, the stadium was fully handed over to more than 80 children. The festival began with a dynamic warm-up session, followed by various fun football games, competitions, and contests for the children led by instructors. The football field was divided into six sectors, each of which had a volunteer coach working alongside an assistant.

The "Open Football Lessons" also included components of psychological support and training in safe behavior during wartime and its aftermath - minimizing risks from explosive hazards, mines, emergencies, etc.

Project coordinators Yevheniy Stolitenko and Bohdan Maksymchak, along with the heads of the Oblast Football Association, presented participating teams with a large number of footballs and sports equipment. Each child received a t-shirt, baseball cap, bracelet, project diploma, as well as drawing kits.
