The draw for the preliminary and main rounds of the UEFA Futsal Champions League season-2022/2023 will take place on July 7 (start at 15:30 Kyiv time).

In the 2022/2023 season, the UEFA Futsal Champions League will be held according to a familiar format. The preliminary, main, and elite rounds will take place in mini-tournament formats. As before, four clubs will participate in the final stage. The venue for the final stage will be determined once its participants are known.

The top four national associations by ranking (Spain, Portugal, Kazakhstan, Croatia) will each enter two teams, while others will send one club. Ukraine is represented by "Prodexim" (Kherson).

The current tournament champion, "Barcelona," plus teams ranked 1st to 11th and 16th to 19th in the ranking, will start the tournament from the main round via Path A. All others will begin from the preliminary round or Path B of the main round.

"Prodexim" will start from Path A of the main round because it holds the sixth position in the club ranking. During the draw, the Ukrainian representative will be placed in Pot 13 (ranking position - 2).

Format

Preliminary round (August 23-28)

In this round, 32 teams with the lowest ranking will participate and be divided into groups of four. The seeding will depend on the ranking. Pre-assigned hosts for mini-tournaments will be placed in a separate pot. Group winners advance to the main round.

Main round (October 25-30)

Path A

This path will be taken by the current champion, "Barcelona," eleven top-ranked clubs from the ranking, and teams ranked 16th to 19th. During the draw, teams will be divided into groups of four. Four clubs will be pre-assigned as hosts and placed in a separate pot with their seeding numbers preserved. Teams from the same country may end up in the same group. Any possible restrictions will be announced before the draw. The top three teams from each group advance to the elite round.

Path B

This path will be taken by teams ranked 12th to 15th and 20th to 23rd, as well as winners of the preliminary round. During the draw, teams will be divided into groups of four. Four clubs will be pre-assigned as hosts and placed in a separate pot with their seeding numbers preserved. Any possible restrictions will be announced before the draw. Winners of the four groups advance to the elite round.

Elite round (November 22-27)

Sixteen clubs will be divided into four groups of four each. The draw will take place on November 8. Seeding will be confirmed before the draw. Winners of the four groups advance to the final stage.

Final tournament

This is a knockout tournament featuring four teams. It will take place at one venue in April or May 2023. The venue, exact dates, and draw date will be announced later.
