Today at 6 PM Kyiv time, Welsh referee Tom Owen will blow the whistle to start the Euro-2023 (U-21) qualifier match between Armenia and Ukraine at Yerevan Football Academy. The live broadcast will take place on channel "Football 1" and on the UAF YouTube channel.
For both teams, this will be their last group stage match in the Euro qualification tournament. From a tournament standpoint, the game is meaningless for both sides. Armenia has firmly secured the last place, while Ukraine, after their previous match against France, have solidified second position and now face a playoff round in September to qualify for the final stages of the European Championship (the draw will take place on June 21).
Regarding the upcoming match, the blue-and-yellow team arrived in Yerevan with 24 players. The injured Arseniy Batagov and Oleksandr Drambeyev did not travel. Roman Didyk's participation is uncertain, while Dmitro Kapinus has already joined the main group training.
Head coach of Ukraine Rostyslav Rotan did not hide that in the game against Armenia, players with little playing time in previous matches will be on the field.
