The first match of the 2022/2023 Nations League, Ukraine will play against Ireland in Dublin. The game will take place on June 8 (kickoff at 21:45 Kyiv time). The day before the match, head coach Oleksandr Petrakov spoke at a press conference.

— Are there any chances for players who were not included in previous matches to make it into the lineup? This includes Lunin, Popov, Igнатenko, and Sykhan.

— They will all play tomorrow.

— If you had a chance to replay the match against Wales, would you change anything?

— I wouldn't change anything.

— You announced rotations for tomorrow's game. Who will play on the right back position considering that your current player in this role is Oleksandr Karavaev?

— A different player will play tomorrow.

— How many changes will there be in the Ukraine national team lineup for the match against Ireland?

— You'll see tomorrow. We have a training session today, so I can't answer right now.

— How emotionally draining was the loss to Wales?

— It was very draining. I'm having individual talks with the players. Trying to cheer them up, support them because as a head coach, I can't walk around feeling down. What's on my mind is my own business. I need to support the players and help them get out of their difficult psychological state. I told them that life doesn't end there. That page has been turned; you just move forward. You have to forget it and keep going. Tomorrow we play, everything can be fixed. This is sports.

— How physically recovered is the team from Sunday's match?

— The guys who played on May 5 didn't train yesterday — I gave them a rest. We'll see their physical condition today. Emotionally, I've already talked about it.

— Did the youth national team coach Ruslan Rotan contact you possibly to ask for help with his team?

— He didn't call me.

— Are there any roster issues in the team?

— We have injured players — Georgiy Bushchan and Taras Stepanenko are out. They had an MRI today. There's no fracture for Stepanenko, thank God. Bushchan has a slightly sprained ankle. He was told 7-10 days of rest. Thank God the boys didn't get hurt badly. Eduard Sobol is a bit under the weather. He won't train today; we'll see how he feels in the morning. The rest of the players are healthy, and we have training scheduled. We put our sensors on them to check their condition and then decide to avoid any harm.

— Is it difficult for you to switch gears after the loss in Cardiff? You'll play half of your Nations League matches now, with a break until September...

— We've been away from Ukraine since April 30. We worked for a month at camp and the players weren't well prepared. It was all very difficult, everything builds up. I'm someone who loves my country deeply. I don't like anywhere else better than Kyiv. There's nothing on earth that compares to my Kyiv. So I want to go home. We'll rest, the boys will start training again. We don't know how things are going in our country when the Premier League is played. Many questions... For myself, I just want to go home.

Thank you very much for your time at this press conference. Wishing everyone peace of mind.
