Igor Gatullyn, President of the All-Ukrainian Association of Professional Footballers and member of the UEFA Executive Committee, participated in the General Assembly of the European Division of FIFPro, which took place on May 25-26 in Budva (Montenegro).

On the first day of the General Assembly's work, Igor Gatullyn addressed delegates about the situation in Ukraine and thanked FIFPro for its help and support.

"I would like to express gratitude to FIFPro for being willing to provide financial assistance to the families of four deceased footballers who desperately needed it. At a critical moment, FIFPro is trying to help these grieving people. A huge thank you to everyone for your empathy and solidarity."

"I also cannot fail to mention the important work of FIFPro aimed at supporting active Ukrainian players. I hope very much that all interested parties in football will support FIFPro initiatives and help our players get through these difficult times," — noted in his speech Igor Gatullyn.

Over the course of two days, delegates at the General Assembly discussed issues related to FIFPro's political work on a global and European level, the organization's interaction with key partners (FIFA, UEFA, the Association of European Clubs, the Association of European Professional Football Leagues, and others), combating match-fixing, player safety and health, and legal aspects of protecting professional footballers' rights.

The General Assembly of the European Division of FIFPro also determined key priorities for 2022-2025 and reviewed results of a recently conducted study on player workload due to a dense match calendar.
