Format
Preliminary Round (August 23-28)
This round will feature teams with the lowest ranking, and their number will depend on the total number of participants. Teams will be divided into groups of four or three per group based on rankings. Pre-assigned hosts for mini-tournaments will be placed in a separate draw box. Group winners and possibly one or more second-place finishers will advance to the main round.
Main Round (October 25-30)
Path A
This path includes the current champion, "Barcelona," and the next eleven top-ranked clubs as well as teams ranked from 16th to 19th. During the draw, teams will be divided into groups of four each. Four clubs will be pre-assigned as hosts and placed in a separate box with their seeding numbers preserved. Teams from one country may end up in the same group. Any possible restrictions will be communicated before the draw. The top three teams from each group will advance to the elite round.
Path B
This path includes teams ranked 12th to 15th and below, as well as winners of the preliminary round. During the draw, teams will be divided into groups of four each. Four clubs will be pre-assigned as hosts and placed in a separate box with their seeding numbers preserved. Any possible restrictions will be communicated before the draw. Winners of the four groups will advance to the elite round.
Elite Round (November 22-27)
Sixteen clubs will be divided into four groups of four each. The draw will take place on November 8. Seeding will be confirmed before the draw. Winners of the four groups will advance to the final stage.
Final Tournament
This is a knockout tournament featuring four teams, which will take place at one venue in April or May 2023. The location and exact dates, as well as the draw date, will be announced later.
